## The name, first

There is no institute.

No faculty, no laboratory, no research programme, no accreditation, no degrees, no fellows, no affiliation with any university, hospital, manufacturer, pharmacy or clinic. Nothing published here is peer-reviewed, and no original research of any kind is conducted at this address. The domain names the subject matter. It does not describe an organisation, and it is not evidence of one.

What this actually is: one editorial desk, reading 22 published sources about four compounds, and writing down what they measured. That is the whole operation. Anyone weighing what a page here says should weigh it as a reading of the literature by a careful reader — not as an institutional position, because there is no institution to hold one.

## What this desk covers

One question, applied to four compounds: how long does a peptide last, and what determines it.

That question turns out to organise the subject better than most. It explains why these compounds are injected rather than swallowed. It explains why two molecules acting on the same pituitary receptor can differ in exposure by two orders of magnitude. It explains what acylation, albumin conjugation and D-amino acid substitution are actually for. And it exposes the most common error in the popular literature on peptides, which is treating a measured half-life as though it were a dosing schedule.

The four compounds are CJC-1295, ipamorelin, semaglutide and tesamorelin. Two are approved medicines in at least one jurisdiction; two are not approved anywhere. That spread is useful rather than accidental — the difference in evidence quality between them is more instructive than any single compound's data.

## How a number gets onto this site

Three rules, applied without exception.

**Every quantitative claim carries a bracketed citation.** Percentages, sample sizes, durations, effect sizes, confidence intervals and half-lives all point to a numbered entry in the [reference list](/references).

**Every half-life figure carries its species.** Pharmacokinetic parameters are not portable between species: protease expression, renal function and albumin concentration all differ, and every one of them moves the number. A figure measured in rats is reported as a rat figure and is not silently promoted into a human one. The same discipline applies to route — an intravenous half-life is labelled as such.

**A figure with no source in this reference set does not appear.** Published half-life numbers exist for semaglutide and for tesamorelin. Neither is among these 22 sources. Rather than attach them to a citation that does not carry them, the relevant pages say plainly that the figure is outside the reference set and leave it out. Half-life values are the single most frequently mis-sourced numbers in this subject, which is exactly why the rule is applied hardest to them.

## Where this desk stops

No dosing. No intervals, no schedules, no protocols, no titration guidance, no conversions between species or routes. Where a cited trial administered a particular amount, that is reported as a fact about the trial and nothing more.

No medical advice, and no assessment of whether any compound is appropriate for any person. That question requires an examination, a history and a prescriber, none of which a website has.

No products. Nothing here is for sale, no supplier is recommended, and no purchasing route is described. Two of the four compounds covered are sold only as research chemicals of unverified purity, and that fact is reported as a limitation of the evidence rather than as shopping advice.

Community-reported effects appear on the compound pages because they are part of the record, and they are labelled anecdotal, not clinical evidence, every time. They never carry doses. Where the composed record holds no anecdotal material for a compound — as with tesamorelin — the page says so instead of inventing some.
